Reducing recidivism by providing clients access to programs which encourage responsible and law abiding behavior.
Jasper County Community Corrections protects the public by supervising offenders in appropriate programs and by utilizing evidence-based correctional practices to reduce a person's proclivity to commit crimes. The evidence based practices centers on quality case management services which will bring to bear community resources to address criminogenic needs.
The Community Corrections Department of Jasper County offers various programs for offenders, from Work Release to Electronic Monitoring and Community Service Work.

Jasper County Community Corrections provides assistance to clients in locating acceptable places for adult clients to complete their Court ordered community service work.
The Community Transition Program, or CTP, is a cooperative effort between Community Corrections, Indiana Department of Correction and the Courts which allows clients to serve a portion of their sentence with Community Corrections.
All clients entering the Community Transition Program will be placed in the Work Release Program. This enables the clients to slowly adjust back into society by obtaining employment, establishing a bank account, begin any recommended counseling and locate housing, if needed. Depending on the length of the program the client may be allowed to transition to the Electronic Monitoring program provided they have suitable housing.
Electronic Monitoring allows the clients to live in their homes with their families. The clients are allowed to leave their homes for employment, counseling appointments, medical appointments, attorney appointments, Court, educational opportunities and/or worship services.
If a client enters the program without a job, they must be able to secure employment within 14 days of induction.
Jasper County Community Corrections uses CAM to monitor the clients.
In the Work Release Program clients live in a dormitory setting. Clients are allowed to leave for employment, counseling appointments, medical appointments, attorney appointments, Court, educational opportunities and/or worship services.
If a client enters the program without a job, they must be able to secure employment within 14 days of induction.
Jasper County Community Corrections provides three (meals) for clients that are at the Work Release Center during the designated time for meals.
